Antifragile

Project Location: Tokyo, Japan

Project Status: Concept Design

The "Antifragile" project, a 20,000 SF ceramic museum, reimagines how architecture can respond to decay. While most buildings are designed to maintain their pristine condition through constant maintenance, this museum embraces degradation as a tool for growth. Over time, buildings naturally weather and deteriorate, yet the "Antifragile" design seeks to harness this process, making the structure stronger and more resilient as it ages. By exploring the concept of "antifragility," the project aims to create a building that evolves with time, thriving through imperfection and stress. This approach challenges traditional notions of stability, proposing a more dynamic relationship between architecture and its environment.
